
The English company P2i specializes in nano-coating technology for a repellent effect that protects electronic devices from water. The company’s services were used by the British Ministry of Defense for filtration equipment and the bio-consumables before finding other applications in textiles. The technology is called Aridion® and its promoters, Stephen Coulson and Eric Cohill, intends to invest in the hearing aid market by protecting devices from damage caused by water and perspiration. P2i machines can completely treat finished devices. It can be added without any problems at the end of the production chain, coating about one device every ten seconds.
