GN ReSound wants to compete in the upper price segments
According to its last financial report, in Quarter 3, GN ReSound revenue was DKK 693 million. "The divestment of GN ReSound's retail businesses in Belgium and Poland had cash effect of DKK 85 million and the sale of one of three buildings at GN's Ballerup headquarters had cash effect of DKK 149 million. The GN ReSound restructuring program initiated in early 2009 is well on track and will reduce annual costs by more than DKK 200 million relative to 2008." After the end of the quarter, GN ReSound has launched new products into the marketplace. "By launching the ReSound Live and dot2 by ReSound product families GN ReSound is strengthening its ability to compete in the upper price segments", considers GN. CEO GN ReSound, Mike van der Wallen said: “With the new product launches we are clearly taking a first step in the direction of restoring GN Resound's image as an innovator in the hearing aid industry. In regards to the restructuring of GN ReSound we are delivering on what we promised in the beginning of the year. We still have a way to go, but we are moving forward and I feel very confident when I look into 2010."
