Mads Bjerre Andersen Takes Over From Bernard Jacquier
During the official announcement of the merger of the two brands, Beltone and ReSound France, published in one of our columns at the end of 2007 (see Audio infos Number 118), Bernard Jacquier, 60 years old at the time, said that he would leave the position on June 30 the following year after a long career with Philips, Beltone and recently, ReSound. However, he will remain available as a consultant to the new President of GN ReSound France, Mads Bjerre Andersen, and former Senior Vice President for Europe at GN ReSound. “We are grateful for the work accomplished by Bernard Jacquier for the past 18 years in developing the hearing aid activity in France,” said Mads Bjerre Andersen. “Today, the opportunity has been given to us to reinforce our two brands with the launch of audiologically innovative products. We assure our hearing care professional customers our renewed desire to create strong partnerships while offering them reliable solutions and better levels of service.” The merger of the two brands has the goal of creating better synergy and reinforces the group’s presence in the French market. Portrait Of The New President Of GN ReSound FranceMads Bjerre Andersen, who succeeded Bernard Jacquier as the head of GN ReSound France, is not a newcomer in the world of hearing aids. Since 2008, he has been Director of European Sales with GN ReSound. Previously, after gaining experience in different functions within the hearing aid industry (GN Danavox, HIMSA…), he was also the CEO of the German distribution network, Geers Hörakustik.
