Miss England Launches Search for most Ear-resistible Ear
Georgia Horsley, who was crowned Miss England this year and is profoundly deaf in her right year, launched the charity RNID's annual 'Ear of the Year' awards which aim to get people to look after their hearing. Georgia was in Leicester Square on 29th October with a team of photographers to encourage members of the public to enter pictures of their ears for the competition. New research shows that 41% of people believe those with a hearing loss cover it up or fail to seek help because they are embarrassed. Ear of the Year is part of the charity's Breaking the Sound Barrier campaign to challenge the stigma surrounding ear loss.To nominate friends and family for the awards, and vote for the celebrity with the most desirable ears, go to www.breakingthesoundbarrier.org.ukSource: RNID.org.uk
