The Swiss Federal Council, executive body, changed regulations on sound and light for nightclub regulars. The new regulations were put into effect May 1, 2007 and require that the public be informed about noise levels and the health risks this may cause. Ear plugs must be supplied to the public and noise levels must be recorded and monitored. For nightclubs where people under 16 years old are allowed to enter, noise cannot go over 93 dB.Source: Hear-it.
